There's nonsense, badly-handled tropes, cardboard characters and bad art. The gore is also not all that impressive (and more importantly, the first and biggest scene is illogical! As is the last chapter! ಠ_ಠ ) The face problem actually makes me think that the mangaka chose panda-headed enemies to avoid drawing human faces. The main problems are ugly faces, inconsistent body proportions, and unimpressive action scenes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It would've been nice to see some resolution though, because the manga is either cancelled or on veeeery extended hiatus (with apparently no word from the author). Oh well, at least there's more to her than the other cardboards, including another companion girl that got introduced later. I'm quite sure the author had great plans for her character, as he actually tried giving her a bit of backstory, but in the end he never did anything with it. well, I already adressed Minita's very exciting existence, and the only other character with a bit of personality is the idol girl. All of which might have been fun or exciting if handled well, and if I gave a single fuck about any of the characters. On the bright side, he gets to run together with an idol girl who was there as well.Īfter that we get about half the tropes you get in every other (zombie) apocalyps story, such as the running away from zombies, weird stunts, banding together, a bit of infighting, mid-bosses, some extremely dramatic deaths and more running. As you've probably guessed by the first 6 words of this review, the cover of the manga and the synopsis on the main page, he swiftly loses his job and gets to run for his life instead. The author saw fit to have him be definied as a "forgettable bullied kid", and so we shall swiftly forget him. The manga start by establishing that our MC is the most unremarkable, dull, forgettable and uninteresting guy I have seen in any work of fiction I read during the last year. Pandamic is a mascot horror manga about mascot who kill people and zombify humans by giving them panda heads.
